This Improbable or Impossible Catch, by Julian Edelman was instrumental in the Patriots' historic comeback. They eventually tied the game and went on to win Super Bowl LI in overtime, marking the largest comeback in Super Bowl history.
In the third quarter of the game, with the Patriots trailing by 28-3, they were staging an incredible comeback. On a crucial drive, the Patriots were facing a 3rd-and-long situation. Quarterback Tom Brady dropped back and launched a pass down the middle of the field to Julian Edelman, who was surrounded by multiple Falcons defenders. The pass was initially tipped by a defender, making it seem like an interception or an incomplete pass was imminent. However, Edelman managed to dive for the ball, reaching out and catching it just before it could touch the ground.
